About the Event
In its 54th year, Celebrity Sports Night continues to be a premier fundraising event. Our 2021 virtual event emulates many of the traditional experiences our guests have come to expect, but features some new elements, too. This year’s honoree, Mike Piazza, and appearances by very special guests, along with a musical performance by our students will make it the feel-good event of the season you won’t want to miss!
We also plan to hold our silent and live auctions virtually, both with an exciting array of items and experiences. Watch for an announcement about the silent auction being open for bids, as well a listing of the live auction items!

The pandemic presented Viscardi with unimaginable challenges and long-lasting consequences in our ability to safely continue our life-changing work to educate, employ, and empower people with disabilities of all ages. Your support of this event provides vital funds for our most critical needs, safeguard and deliver programs/services in new ways, and maintain technology supports.
A word from some of our past Celebrity Sports Night athlete honorees:
- “…I was astounded to see the youngsters and adults not just getting along, but thriving…this organization pours love out and guides the people it serves in the right way so that they can succeed in anything they put their minds to.” -Joe Namath, NFL Hall of Famer
- “Tonight, has been an eye-opener for me…these young men and young women at this school here, this Center, they are the true heroes. Nothing will ever mean more to me than the honor that you bestow on me tonight.” -Joe Theismann, NFL MVP
- “It’s amazing how everyone comes together for a good cause… I’m happy to be a part of this night,” -Dwight “Doc” Gooden, 3-time World Series champ
